TEXAS MBA @ Oktoberfest 2006 SOON!

We have again secured some space in the "Hippodrom"-tent where we could experience the great atmosphere last year already. To make the event both "family- and fun-compatible" we reserved a box on Sunday, September 24, from 12:00 - 15:30 hrs. Food and beer will be taken care of.
We are very much looking forward to see as many of you there. Don't miss it! To sign up please send an email to Andreas Wenzel and indicate whether you come alone or with your partner.

Soon again it is party time at the Oktoberfest in Munich! Like in the year before Texas MBA Germany has reserved a table in the "Hippodrom" pavillon on Saturday, September 24 from 12:00-15:30. A Hippodrom-Schmankerl-Menu is included.

The annual meeting is soon coming up in Munich on the weekend of July 8-10. Highlight will be a visit of the "Lach- und Schiessgesellschaft" for their Show "Abgehängt".
The meeting is organized by Alex, Florian and Markus, and we are very much looking forward to seeing most of you there!

The Annual Meeting 2004 was held in Frankfurt/Main on July 3. Over 20 members were participating and also Dean Gau was present. Everybody enjoyed a wonderful weekend with lots of fun and 'Ebbelwoi'.

1st Frankfurt Happy Hour

Texas MBA will have its first monthly Happy Hour ("Stammtisch") at Apfelwein Wagner in Sachsenhausen on November 14th at 7pm. The restaurant is a very typical Apfelwein place (truly an acquired taste). First to show up get a free mug! Contact Andreas Hirl for further details.

Dean Gau to Visit Munich on June 26 & 27, 2003

Texas MBA Germany is very proud to host the visit of Dean George Gau from the McCombs School of Business to Munich on June 26/27. All members are invited to meet with him and join him in his sightseeing program.
June 26th, 7pm:
Informal gathering in Munich/Schwabing: Restaurant/Beergarden "Georgenhof", located on Friedrichstrasse at Georgenstrasse (official address: Friedrichstr. 1). The place is located close to the University and can be easily reached by subway lines U3/U6.
June 27th:
- Morning: Sightseeing tour in Munich
- Noon: Early lunch in a traditional beergarden (probably "Seehaus" in the English Garden)
- Afternoon: trip to Füssen, visit of the Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein Castles
- Evening: Dinner in the Musical House Füssen, located on the banks of the "Forggensee"; afterwards visit of the Musical "King Ludwig II - Longing for the Paradise".
Please let Markus Stadler know by June 20, if you would like to participate on the 27th so that he can reserve the tickets and organize the transportation to Füssen! |
10th Annual Meeting in Koblenz on July 18-20, 2003

This year the Texas MBA Germany alumni club is celebrating its 10th anniversary! In 1993 the
initiative of a few led to an organisation that has about 70 members, gives out a scholarship and has an active network among members and UT Austin.
Usually, the annual meeting takes place on the last weeked in June. This year, however, all hotels in Koblenz are occupied on that weekend due to a Formula One race, and therefore the annual meeting is moved to July 18-20.
Like every year, the weekend starts on Friday evening with dinner at a nice Mexican restaurant. On Saturday morning the official annual meeting will take place, followed by organised events in the afternoon and evening. The program ist almost finalized by the organisation team and will be announced soon. For accomodation a centrally-located hotel has already been choosen and details will follow.
